Ecology and Environment
These resources use interactive content that can be presented to a whole class, using an interactive whiteboard, or as part of a learning programme for students working independently.
Ecology is a broad subject area and photosynthesis is an integral part of any ecosystem. Several resources use animations and interactions to help students gain a greater understanding of this vital process. Plant structure, translocation, osmosis and transpiration are also described.
Energy transfers in ecosystems are illustrated with presentations and activities that explore the interrelationships of organisms and their environment in a range of habitats. The resources will also help teachers tackle contemporary issues including climate change, sustainable agriculture, intensive farming and pollution.
