Blood/heart and circulation

Resources on this page will provide support for both new and experienced teachers planning lessons on the heart and circulation. Web-based resources with animations and interactions can be used on an interactive whiteboard or by students working independently. They help to enhance understanding of the cardiac cycle, double circulation, blood composition and clotting.

Materials illustrating health issues associated with the circulatory system and their treatments are also included. Resources detail disorders such as atherosclerosis, heart disease and angina and the lifestyle risk factors associated with them.
