Behaviour

Concepts in behavioural science are often abstract and experimental observations are difficult to interpret. This page contains resources that will support delivery of behaviour in GCSE Biology but many of the activities can also be used to teach How Science Works. The web-based resources are a rich source of support material to enhance students’ understanding of behaviours such as instinct and learning. Animations and simulations allow students to reinforce their own learning, or can be used to exemplify concepts with a whole class using an interactive whiteboard. The resources describe classic investigations into conditioning and learning as well as exploring social, reproductive and feeding behaviours.
