Health and Safety

Local Authorities, schools and colleges have a common law duty to look after pupils in their care. Employers also have a statutory duty to ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, that the placements they arrange will be safe (Section 3 of the Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974).
