Animation in science: medical physics and laser treatment

Activity 3: Laser beam animation

Design a storyboard to illustrate how the laser beam is generated in a 'lased' material. It should include how the photons build up as they travel backwards and forwards between one fully silvered mirror and a half-silvered mirror.

To complete this, students will need to have a good understanding of laws of reflection: photons. Animate the storyboard including the number of frames you want, captions and any 'Notes' for the animator.

The activity covers Triple Science Physics waves and radiation. See example of story board.
