Chemistry Unit 4

Exploring ethanol fuels for the future using collaborative slidesharing/slidecasting

Activity 2: Develop your own resource

In this activity you will create your own e-learning material by hosting a created presentation online. First choose a topic such as the conversion from ethanol to ethanoic acid. If you encounter problems, please see the user guide to slideshare.

Carry out the following steps:

  • Start a new presentation in your favourite presentation software (such as PowerPoint, Keynotes or Impress).
  • Think about the information you wish to convey and make a presentation with just the titles (this is called a skeleton presentation).
  • Collate images and information from web resources and write content to fill in the presentation.
  • Use this presentation and repeat Activity 1.

Note that you can add extra information and resources in the speaker notes section of the presentation. SlideShare will input these notes into the comments section of the hosted presentation.
